My Taiwan post takes forever to finish to write! Even my mum is sick of it! Huhu
Continuation from Day 4 in Yehliu Geopark…
Right after Yehliu Geopark, we travelled all the way back to Taipei City. Our tour guide brought us to a souvenir shop selling pineapple tarts. Quite famous. My tour guide told us this brand won the 3rd prize in the best pineapple tarts in Taiwan for the Year 2010.
Check out their website here : Vigor Kobo
They have quite a few branches in Taipei and a small booth in Taoyuan International Airport..
Right after Vigor Kobo, we dropped by at the Taipei Grand Mosque for some photo-taking before we off for lunch.
After the mosque, we went for lunch. The tour agency’s boss treat since it was our last lunch with the tour.
#3 Ching Hwa Restaurant
Food was ok, but through out the tour, we found out their pork dishes smell one kind. Not to our Malaysian tastebuds liking, I would say. We had pork trotter dishes almost every lunch and dinner but we hardly touch it. Coz it smell funny! Thank God their lu rou fan taste likewise and yummy! Anyone felt the same about Taiwan pork dishes??
Right after lunch, we went to WuFenPu (五分埔)! Earlier, our tour guide made us choose between WuFenPu or Ximending (西門町) but we wanted both! Due to time constraint, we only had 30 minutes in WuFenPu! :(( Our tour guide explained that the quality of clothing in WuFenPu is not that good as most of the clothing is for China suppliers and he prefer us to spend our money elsewhere than in WuFenPu… But we being girls cant say no to cheap clothes, aye?!
Damn pathetic. Coz I cant freaking shop in 30 minutes time! Cant manage to get anything. However, our 30 minutes ended up almost 50-60 minutes coz there are people who shop till they forgot their time. LOL. And that person managed to grab a leather jacket at TWD100! Yes, you hear me!
Snapped this while we were stucked in our tour bus on our way to Taipei 101. Taipei 101 is just right a few km from here, and yet we stucked in the jam for about 20 minutes! Should have just walk, right?
Finally.. and we were given 1 hour time here.
Our tour does not include this. :(
We rushed all the way to the observatory but the waiting time is about 50mins! Boo, no choice but to skip.
No place to go so end up in this bookstore. And discovered that books in Taiwan are CHEAP! Almost half the price here in Malaysia.
We wasted about 30mins for our bus to reach the main entrance of Taipei 101. Upon reaching, we all have to run as fast as possible cause the bus cannot stop too long at the entrance! -______-“
After that we went for dinner at Toko Indonesia at some small alley. It was Halloween Eve when we were there, hence group of people parading in their Halloween costumes..
#12 Pose takut but wan to stand so near still!
Please excuse my noob poses! So lame can! But Taiwanese were so bersungguh-sungguh with their costumes and festive seasons! Me like! They were parading and giving out sweets and tissue papers.
Right after dinner is XiMenDing! Coming right out soon in the next post~
