Rise and shine! It’s already Day 4~
As usual.. breakfast first!
I missed the porridge with meat floss… There’s not much of variety when it comes to hotel breakfast in Taiwan. It either porridge or scrambled egg, and there were even kimchi to cater the Korean tourists.
We stayed in Chuto Plaza Hotel in Taoyuan. Korean Air stewardess (and stewards) stay here too. ^_^ There’s free Wi-Fi at their lobby.
Our itinerary for the day is Yehliu Geopark - National Mosque - WuFenPu - Taipei 101 and Ximending.
It takes about 1 hour plus drive from Taoyuan to Yehliu Geopark.
This is what we see upon reaching Yehliu Geopark. Lots of unique stones formation along the way. And us being tourist, snapping pictures non-stop although the bus is still moving.
The weather that morning was breezy and cold! Do bring along a windbreaker with you all the time if you happen to be in Taiwan during fall. Their weather are unpredictable…
Snapped this while waiting for our tour guide to buy the entrance ticket. And boy, this place is packed! And it’s only 9-ish in the morning! So many groups and groups of tourists with their tour guides.
Yehliu (Chinese: 野柳; pinyin: Yěliǔ) is a cape on the north coast of Taiwan in the town of Wanli between Taipei and Keelung.
A distinctive feature of the cape is the hoodoo stones that dot its surface. These shapes can be viewed at the Yeliu Geopark operated by the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration. A number of rock formations have been given imaginative names based on their shapes. The most well-known is the “The Queen’s Head” (女王頭), an iconic image in Taiwan and an unofficial emblem for the town of Wanli. Other formations include “The Fairy Shoe”, “The Bee Hive”, “The Ginger Rocks” and “The Sea Candles.”

The water is so clearrrr!
And the weather getting windy and windy… hair flying all over like nobody business.. *my hair whips back and forth*
#6 Love the blue blue sky and sea
Can you spot the Queen’s Head in the photo?
Our tour guide only brought us to some of the famous rock formation as we had a lot to do in that day itinerary.
#7 The Queen’s from another angle
I never bother to take pic with the Queen’s Head, coz the queue were very long. I rather wander around enjoying the breeze and snap more photos.
#9 I think this is the Beehive…
After the scenery, we were all scattered around at the market. Buy, buy and buy! I think our tour guide must be very scare at us. Coz we never stop buying! As long as there were shops around, we will start to buy buy buy. He practically need to use a whistle to remind us we are running out of time and made us run back to the bus.
Lots of dried food here. Dried jellyfish, fish candies, fried seaweed…
The fried seaweed and grilled mushrooms are the bomb here!
